Once again my work is being copied-this time its my  paintings of scenes looking up through the trees--its very sad that the 'artist' still hasnt found her own inspirations and ideas for her classes and paintings like everyone else has to. Looks like it will never happen now--its been going on for over 4 years and most of the pictures on her site have been nicked or copied off other artists!

Im flattered in a way that she thinks my work is worth copying--but would suggest she try and do at least a few paintings/classes using scenes she has thought up for herself!

We had a wonderful time at Onslow Park Steam rally--we were rushed off our feet most of the time and I didnt get a minute to see what was going on in the showground! We had a mini hurricane which was scary,it blew part of a tree down and crushed 2 cars-but nobody was hurt.

Sold a version of Summer Day and lots of art materials went as well. Ive never had as many of my leaflets go at a show either-so Im expecting bookings for classes to get busy!

Im taking part in an exciting venture on Saturday 11th Sept. Craven Arms is holding its 3 rd Art Walk and there is lots going on over that weekend.

I shall be taking 3 taster sessions during the day in the sports hall-one oil and 2 acrylic workshops.each one will take an hour to do and will be painted on a smaller than usual 8in x 10in canvas.

Well Im completly tired out after the hectic week we have had doing the shows this week.Classes are getting filled up quickly after speaking with folk and demonstrating the techniques used.

Ive got bookings already for next years classes--will be sorting out more dates for next March,April and May during the next week or so hopefuly!

After a great weekend at Welland Steam Show, I have a short time to get organised for the next few weeks shows etc! Im on Ludlow market this Wednesday July 28th followed by the Birch Tree class on Saturday-a few places are left in this class--

then next week Im on the market as usual on August 4th , followed by a new venue for us the popular Burwarton show on Thursday 5th where you will find me in the demonstration building painting in oils, acrylics and encaustic wax.

I have a day off on the Friday and then we are off to Tenbury show on Saturday 7th Aug-hope the weather is better than last year-we were in a muddy bog and had to be towed off the site!

On Sunday 8th we are on the local Book and Craft fair on Castle Square in our usual place.

I have added a new B+B to my website-The Mount ,61 Gravel Hill, Ludlow ,it comes very highly recommended. Its in a beautiful setting overlooking Whitcliffe and surrounding countryside.Its got top reviews on Trip Advisor. The b+b has some ground floor rooms as well-- great if your not so able bodied maybe! Its just a quarter of a mile from the painting venue as well-so on the doorstep more or less.They have ample parking , though if you come by train they will arrange to pick you up from the station.The phone number is 01584 874048

I have been having a sort out of paintings recently and have decided that there are far too many paintings around the house-so I have decided to have a sale.

Well we are now the proud owners of 'Bunty' our new van-a huge Renault Master -its almost big enough to do the classes in! It will make life a lot easier as we can carry all the easels etc without having to keep taking the seats out of the car all the time to do classes and craft shows!

I had a call yesterday from a shop owner in Ludlow asking if I would like to use the shop to display my paintings in while she waits for new tenants.Its in a prime spot just a few yards from the most photographed hotel in Ludlow on the Bullring.We took a load of paintings down there today and got it all set up-there are 3 big windows on 2 sides of the building , so we got some big paintings set up on easlels in the back and then dressed the windows with paintings and information about the classes.

I have no idea how long we will be able to display in there-it will depend on how soon she gets new tenants for the shop.But we are very grateful to Barbra for giving us the chance to use the shop for the time being.

The Serenity class on June 12th is now full with 11 people booked in to do it.There is another Serenity class being held on Oct 2nd-it will get booked up quickly so please book early to ensure a place!

Well I thought it wouldnt be long until my looking up through the trees painting idea was copied by the person who cant think up original ideas of her own. Putting up a picture of a photo she' found 'the other day (which  probably  has copy right on it  as well)and painting from it dosent cut any ice with me or the others who spotted it and told me about it. I thought she had grown up a bit but appears not--

We are moving to our permanent venue for classes this week.Its called Helena Lane Day Centre,and is just off Hamlet Road, Ludlow. Its a lovely space-the lighting is very good and parking right outside the door.There is also a cafe at the venue which sells reasonably priced sandwiches etc.

WE HAD GREAT FUN AT THE WEEKEND-WE WENT TO MEET UP WITH MEMBERS OF A FORUM WE CHAT ON-UK CAMPSITE -A GROUP OF US LADIES CREATED A BEAUTIFUL PAINTING USING OUR PAINTED BOOBS TO PRINT ONTO A CANVAS.WE ARE TRYING TO RAISE AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE FOR BREAKTHROUGH BREAST CANCER RESEARCH .WE HAD GREAT FUN-THE RESULTING PAINTING WILL BE SOLD ON EBAY AFTER WE GET AS MUCH PUBLICITY AS POSSIBLE IN AS MANY PLACES AS WE CAN-WE ARE ALSO GOING TO PRODUCE GREETINGS CARDS AND HOPEFULLY IF WE CAN GET A LOCAL PRINTER TO DO SOME FREE PRINTS FOR US OF THE PAINTING WE WILL BE ABLE TO SELL THOSE AS WELL.
