ARTIST'S DESCRIPTION

“ A beautiful picture which I call the 'Sunshine after the rain' because it shows the beautiful puddles glistening in the sun after a rainstorm. It is a picture which means a lot to me as I painted a similar one after my husband had his heart attack and then recovered. The rain represents the bad times, but the sun always comes out afterwards and things soon seem better. It is painted in oil on an acrylic background as are many of my paintings. I love the vibrancy of the colours against the black. The sun is catching the foliage and the puddles lighting the whole picture. It looks good on any wall and does not need framing as I have painted around the sides of the canvas. The dragonflies have been added with melted wax. ” |
