Advanced classes . . .
I will be holding advanced classes throughout the year for students who have attended at least 5 classes with me.
The class is aimed at students who know the techniques used but are lacking a little bit of self confidence to paint at home.
Students will paint a subject of their own choice and can bring along their own subject matter to paint, if they wish, such as a photo or copyright-free picture.
I will be on hand to give advice to anyone, if they are not sure about anything, and will still supply everything needed for the class.
Hopefully this will give students the confidence to carry on painting at home without my instruction.
I am really looking forward to these classes and to seeing just what subjects they will suggest.

I am introducing some acrylic classes throughout the year as well as doing the usual oil painting classes. Again these will be suitable for every ability from 1st time artists and all age groups too.

The hen party was a great success with everyone concerned!
I can also do stag parties if required It is something different to the normal pre-wedding traditions with something to show at the end of a fun few hours!! for more details please contact me
I will supply everything needed for a really fun afternoon in encaustic painting with melted wax, as a prelude to the evening's fun!
The room is decorated with hen party theme --- banners and ballons, I supply a buffet of nibbles and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate the occasion! everyone goes away with lots of memorable paintings of the day! The Climax of the day is the naughty picture competion with the best picture nomination !!!

Late Summer Holiday classes ...
The 2 weeks at St. Audries Bay was most enjoyable for all concerned. As usual the food was excellent and the company fantastic!
We had some beautiful paintings produced there, please take a look at the snaps page to see some of them.
83 year old Lillian's family have agreed that she has found her vocation in life -- you couldn't tell her 'Field of Popppies' painting from mine!
We have been asked to return again next year so will keep you posted of the details as and when I get them

It's a lovely venue; nice and bright and lots of visitors
The exhibition will be called '' From Small Acorns ''
It will mainly be an exhibition of my students' work with maybe a few of mine in there, if we have room !!
I am inviting anyone who has been to my classes to enter their paintings; either just to show, or for sale. There is no charge for exhibiting them. It will be a great opportunity to show off your hidden talents !

Summer class for children ...
I am going to do a class for children during the summer holidays, onThursday 26th July, 10am - 2pm at Guy Thornycroft Communal hall, off Tollgate Road, Ludlow.
We will be painting 'Winter Wonderland'. Children from the age of 6 are welcome.
Children take to this technique "like ducks to water" and I have had some fantastic results with them.

The Telford event was a great success, despite the weather...
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) Valentine Appeal on Saturday Feb. 10th was nearly cancelled due to the heavy snow fall the day before.
However when we saw it had stopped by 9pm on Friday evening, we decided to risk it!
It was a great day, except for one thing -- nobody wanted to paint a Valentine's painting!!! Everyone chickened out!!
They were more interested in watching me paint, and i was busy all day demonstrating and chatting to people.
I donated 10% of all sales to the Valentine Appeal, i sent them a cheque and received a lovely letter back from them, thanking me.
So it turned out to be a really geat day. Thanks to all concerned, particularly you, the public, for turning up.

This is the (almost) daily diary of a a successful, established artist.
It follows all the exciting times and the not so exciting times. The 'ups', when the paintings go well, and the 'downs', when they don't ( Very Rare!!)
